Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Upgrade Issues

Has anyone experienced any issues with the new 4.3? I have had a couple which I have been able to resolve, but I have one which I can't figure out...

Is Anyone using Google Wallet and has upgraded? Once I upgraded it stopped working. It was working fine before I upgraded to 4.3... I have verified that NFC IS Functioning by using an NFC Smart Tag.

So far I've found I had to remove and re-add my Exchange account, where's my water 2, and possibly Google Wallet (I need to try it later...)

Mine has been really laggy. The car charger no longer charges the phone unless you turn it off and then plug it in and turn it back on. I also know someone else who has the same problem with their uscc s4 as well.

I know that you folks are talking about the S4, but samsung is having so many issues with the S3 and 4.3 that they have suspended upgrades. Sounds like some of the problems you folks are having are the same. I don't have a specific link, but Google it. Sounds like it is a touchwiz thing since regular 4.3 roms work.

Mine is the latest stock update that they pushed out last Friday. I have Google'd the issue and all Verizon S4's and even some of the nexus 5's are having the exact same issue. Just wish I would've known before I accepted the update.

Nexus 5 doesn't have 4.3, it has 4.4 Kit Kat.

It was in some of the Google searches, but that was probably the Nexus 4. It had the same issues. Either way 4.3 for the S4 is horrible not even a factory reset fixes the issues.

No apparently you can't switch back to MF5 from MJA because of the bootloader. Maybe this will all get fixed soon though.

Yeah MJA won't let you downgrade at all. I did see were Samsung has released another version of 4.3 for AT&T today. Maybe our fix will come soon.

Once your upgraded the bootloader on a GS4 it's a one-way street, you cannot ever go back to a prior version. Over on the XDA forums, the explanation given is that these phones have some sort of a set of electronic fuses inside the chips that each successive upgrade deliberately burns one out that makes it electronically impossible to revert back to a prior bootloader version.... or something like that is going on inside the phone. Because of shenanigans like this, I've decided to never own a Samsung phone. Too bad USC won't carry the HTC One. It's easily unlockable, S-OFF and everything so you can put whatever ROM you desire on it.

My S4's NFC stopped talking to my Sony A7 camera after the update. A Sony store salesman told me it is a Samsung thing that after certain updates Samsung phones' NFC will only work with Samsung cameras and other Samsung equipment. I don't know whether to believe him but all I know is NFC used to work just find and now it doesn't. And if that's the case, I'll never buy another Samsung phone again, EVER. Time to see what other phones are out there.

    bli8,

Not sure if you have tried this or not, but you might try a factory reset of your phone...
