I recently purchased a used galaxy s3 on ebay from a fellow who used with with us cellular then, Metro PCS and said the phone was unlocked to use with any carrier... but it wont work for my T-Mmobile. Has anyone had any experience with this in which it worked or am i just sol.

I have googled and googled and everything seems to point at its not going to work...
