Early this year they dropped the at risk amount for RC and LRC positions and increased base pay to 'compensate'. I don't have the exact numbers but that sounds about right. And yes, AFAIK Sprint pays its reps the least of any major carrier.

I had an interview for Sprint yesterday. I asked about the salary and commission and the interviewer didn't give me an answer. I know in the past it was $1,100 at risk, but he said something about $9,000 (again he was very vague) and it sounded like that was for the year. Has the commission really dropped down to $750 a month? That seems extremely low for a sales rep at a corporate location.

I appreciate the feedback. I made $11.55 plus commission at another wireless carrier, but lost my job recently. Hopefully if they really did lower the commission that much the pay will make up for it a little.
If you are in a major metro area you should be able to get a couple bucks more then that per hour. If you are not, I don't know! :-)
Every wireless company is dropping commission payouts, it will soon become a hourly wage with spiffs like Best Buy Model.
Sad but true. Every 'good' sales person I knew in wireless has either left or is planning to leave. The only ones left will be the soulless sharks and the 'clerks'.
