Not sure if this is the same phone as the Quark. The article claims this is the only Droid being offered. Of course the Verge is one of the worst, least reliable, joke of a publication.

" 4.65-inch quad HD display (which would trump even Motorola's flagship Moto X in resolution), a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage built in."

Best I can tell now, this is going to be the Shamu, Nexus 6, Nexus X. http://www.droid-life.com/2014/09/25...-next-to-a-g3/ It will be for Verizon.

We now know that Motorola is still planning to introduce two new smartphones; the Verizon Droid Turbo and Moto S. The Verizon Droid Turbo recently made its way through the FCC and an image of the smartphone's rear case with Verizon branding in tow has leaked.

Images were posted to HelloMotoHK and show a more rounded case compared with the current Verizon Droid Maxx. The site confirms that the Droid Turbo XT1254 will feature a 5.2-inch display with a possible Quad HDresolution (2560 x 1440). It will reportedly be powered by a quad-coreQualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3 GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly. The cutout for its rear camera is similar to the new MotoX's 13-megapixel camera, complete with Ring flash and dual-LEDs. The smartphone is also expected to have front-facing stereo speakers.

Forgive me if I was wrong. I just got excited last night when I found out the Nexus 6 is made by Motorola.

Batwings and unlockable bootloader! What's not to get excited about?

So after looking at the specs and the user guide for the Turbo, makes me wonder how well it will sell next to the Note 4.
Will be interested in seeing pics from its 20MP camera compared to the Note 4.

Yeah, I believe the announcement and unveiling is on Tuesday.
Probably a ship date around Nov 12-16 would be my guess.

    Yeah, the Nexus 6.
I doubt the Droid Turbo will sell out today:

Well, if the Droid turbo doesn't sell out maybe the Nexus 6 is worth the wait?

    Here's John's review.
    http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Mo...-Review_id3838
Screen brightness isn't that great. Also call volume is weak in the earpiece speaker.
But great battery life, good camera, and benchmarks.
I'll be interested to see how the Nexus 6 compare.
