It's more like 59.00 with discounts and only if I consume all 3.5GB of data. Sometimes the 3GB lasts 2 months. It's whatever works for you. 11.00 a month doesn't alter my lifestyle at all so I'm happy to have postpaid type service with allowed tethering.

In the big picture it's good to have such a wide variety of choices. There certainly isn't a one size fits all.

Page Plus will not sell over the "air", phone, page plus nano SIM cards. They have to be purchased through a dealer most of which are refill only. Page plus will not sell them on line, same as above. Start date is 15th, October. Start ordering from any dealer you can find.

    It is definitely a milestone.

However, if they are intentionally throttling to keep their cost down, I would have just much preferred if they had raised prices slightly instead and offered the same speeds as Verizon.

I hope that Selectel takes the latter path if it is available to them from Verizon. A lot of people would be prepared to pay a little more for the same speeds as Verizon offers, especially if paygo is included.

Wow!!! Viper, thanks for your test results. From what you've shown it's clear that Page Plus is throttled. But it's a setup from what was giving before? What would have been good to see is at least 6Mbps since other MVNO's are 6-8Mbps.

Bill, as always you can't tell people nothing. You and I both know the worth of having a reliable carrier and the extra cost it requires. Verizon Wireless prepaid Fastest LTE/XLTE network works 100% for quite a few people who are on it. I enjoy the average 95Mbps download speeds I get. Also, that tethering is really nice. But I get free xfinitywifi so I don't use it much.

Well yes, however the 29.99 plan on PP and to some extent the 39.99 might work for those that can't afford Verizon Prepaid or have an abundance of Wi-Fi where they spend 95% their time.

I want to use my data as liberally as I care to and am not looking to take the short road.

What's ironic is if someone on a 500Mb plan complains of 4Mbps download speeds. Really??

I've only been monitoring here to see if it would be worth switching to the 55 on PP. The answer NO is abundantly clear.

Verizon has made sure that those who demand Verizon pay for it.

    Same PP SIM as before?

Wonder if there's there a chance that something is wrong with the card or the settings it provides?

Can you provide any info on the APN settings in use?

Same to other with better sped results, what are the APN settings?

Yea, it's definitely throttled to EvDo like speeds. Those are not even close to the full 3G/HPSA speeds that you could get on any GSM carrier or MVNO [upwards of 8 mbps]. That is straight bullsh*t. Page Plus is just sad for having people so hyped and to let them down in this regard. If it is going to be throttled like this, they need to make it unlimited or increase the data amount for the same price point, otherwise there is little benefit to going with them versus VZ Prepaid itself. And not giving this crippled functionality to the 12 Plan or PAYG, is just downright dickly. Those are the guys who would definitely not mind the crippled speeds vice being able to use a newer 4G Smartphone. This whole thing reeks of Tracfone's retarded handiwork...

Yet others report the same speed they got with Verizon (though not all have reported the actial speed).
I just saw another report of that.
