Sad day for Page Plus customers

I am a dealer with a smaller website out there that I wont mention because of advertising.

I got a email from tracfone today saying that i was in violation of section 3.1-J of the Page Plus dealer terms and conditions. If the violation was not fixed my dealer code would be removed. I went to the page plus site and checked the violation.

That a screenshot of the violation.

Sad to say but I think all the discounts we are seeing are going away. I suppose they have reached out to the bigger sites like the furry dealer and the advertiser here as well.

You need to remove the space after "http:"

Edit: If adding a $3 service charge to the cost is not a violation, why would offering a discount, be?

So sell the 1st pin for full price. Then on the 2nd purchase customer uses 10% value which was converted after 1st purchase to
    sadpplusdealer bucks.

Be interesting to see what happens. As zapjb said, there are ways around it if they really do pursue it. Not a huge issue.

That is price-fixing which is illegal in many cases:

I am sure they have tried to work around the law but I am not sure they have.

Bet Walmart will sell them for less than face value and get by with it.

I read the linked page. Why is zapjb's suggestion a problem?

Price fixing would exist if all PP dealers got together to set a minimum price for a product. PP is completely within the law to require dealers to sell at the standard retail price in order to be a dealer. Apple has been doing it for years as have a number of other companies.

No, it's not. Anti trust law solely governs erstwhile competitors colluding with each other to set prices. For instance, some sort of "Page Plus Dealers Association" prohibiting its members from offering discounts. It's perfectly, if regrettably, legal for wholesalers to mandate particular retail prices as part of their distribution contracts.

Ouch, I would be quite unpleased if I couldn't get cheap refills for page plus anymore. Are straight talk and verizon prepaid the only other verizon network prepaid options? I'm not jumping ship yet, but this would be a pretty significant price increase for me annually and something to think about.

Seems like this could be good for the dealers at least, since it will preserve their margin. It doesn't really enrich TF in any direct way.
