So I switched to Metro and am seeing speeds as high as 77 down and 45 up in Las Vegas.

If you have the coverage, I think the T-mo network is better than AT&T
    Nexus 6 - 64 GB - Midnight Blue
    Nexus 4 - 16 GB - Black
    Nexus 9 - 32 GB - Black
And my first: Samsung Galaxy Craptivate.

"Better" is relative. What do you mean by "better"?

In some places, it can be.

Better as in more capacity for higher data speeds... AT&T is really trailing in Las Vegas. Sprint is better outdoors with Spark.

Having used tmobile and att, better really depends on the person. Tmobile works wonderful in my area. But there are certain places where I get no service or data drops to like edge or something. In my neck of the woods, tmobile has beer speeds, better voice (like HD voice and voice over lte) and we'll texts always sent but many people care about coverage honestly and so do I so with cricket wireless, I'd rather take the slower data which isn't too noticeable on day to day usage, and gain much more coverage. Now tmobile coverage is getting better but still has a little more to go. For most, better is defined as coverage. That's why there are coverage maps. Most people can care less about 75mbps and HD voice. As long as their YouTube video loads every time, and as long as Facebook, instagram and snapchat load in a not so slow manner, they'll be happy. And that's where att wins. Their tuff loads and coverage is wonderful

So, faster? In which areas? Not everywhere.
"Better" is just a pretty generic term that doesn't mean much without an explanation. I hear too many times on here, people saying things like "Verizon is better than AT&T! AT&T is better than T-Mobile!" which are pretty meaningless statements without some kind of specifics. Faster? Stronger signal? Better call quality? In which areas? Specifics are always good.

To reiterate what I already said - AT&T is slow throughout the entire city. That's how bad AT&T is doing. Before I dropped them I was only on Band 2 and could barely do 5Mbps during the day, if I wasn't dropped to 4G HSPA.

I hope you aren't talking about AT&T's coverage maps. The most overstated maps in the industry... lol that was a funny read.

I wasn't talking about anywhere other than Las Vegas so I don't know what you're getting at. I already know AT&T has a larger coverage area.

Most people do care about their data working. So when your data isn't working on AT&T at the Cosmopolitan and you're missing calls due to a congested LTE network and VoLTE being enabled you best believe people are complaining.

Thankfully AT&T is getting use of cricKet's AWS soon but based on what I was getting a few months ago, it's not soon before long that it will be the same as all of the other bands of LTE... congested.

Hmm. I had great speeds and coverage when I was in Las Vegas a few months ago. Most of the casinos have DAS anyways, which would take the load off of the macro sites outside.

Here are some AT&T speed tests. The higher number was about my best on non-peak hours.

    Here is T-Mobile

Near Charleston and Buffalo, and also up near Rainbow & Cheyenne.

The latency is because of ST, not AT&T....but the DL & UL are AT&T speed issues.

I never saw fast AT&T speeds anywhere in the valley TBH.

I agree not as fast as T-Mobile but good enough speed, but haven't seen ping that high for AT&T in Vegas . T-Mobile is ether really fast at time or slow from my experience. I will try by ur location when I get back, cause most of my testing site are rainbow and 215, UNLV or Henderson.
