    Droobie,
I'm SERIOUSLY considering getting a Pure. I have talked to someone who will try to activate it. Can you give me any problems you encountered? If you would prefer to PM me, feel free.

The indirect I used originally put the MEID in wrong (mistook a 5 for a 9). Aside from that, it should be 'put it in the computer along with a NANO SIM number'.

Supposedly USCC issued a notice to dealers yesterday that said they can activate these the same as other customer owned equipment (iPhone, Nexus 6, etc.). So they should have a policy available now. If they don't, your dealer can use the Nexus 6 SAP ID to activate, which is what I had done. They have a list of SAP IDs to do this.

So basically, they put the MEID in, and the system says 'unknown', they put the SAP ID in and it adds it to the system, they attached it to my account along with a SIM card number, and then you call *228 to activate the 3G side. Life is good.

Just as a heads up, your 'carrier name' will be Roaming Indicator Off, not US Cellular. I don't know if there will be an ERI update later in time, but it's a cosmetic thing.

It's an amazing phone, though I'm a bit disappointed there's no Notification lights. Instead it pulses the screen on occasionally and shows your 'notification dash', which is a black and white lock-ish screen that shows your notifications.

If you have any specific q's, happy to help.

Thanks. I bought one and it is supposed to come with a US Cellular SIM card. I am going to call to activate it when I get it.

Not sure where you bought yours through, but if it is through Motorola, it comes with no SIM card at all, at least mine didn't. It's an unlocked device and can be used with any North American carrier.

When I ordered mine today it gave the option of a Sim card for all 5 providers for an extra 5 dollars.

Wow that's wild.. I wish I'd had that option. They didn't ask me any such thing, I could just get another power adapter or a car one.
