The tech press were all over yesterday's Google event in San Francisco, and with good reason—for fans of pure Android and unlockable bootloaders alike, a new Nexus is a big deal. For 2015 Huawei has been tasked with producing an all-aluminum phablet, while LG returns to recapture some of it's former glory as a Nexus OEM.

Today I've hand-picked a sextet of hands-on videos featuring the new Nexus 5X and 6P. Enjoy!

    MKBHD:

Ignore the Pixel C—it's not a Nexus! :P

    Android Authority:

Next to the gargantuan Moto N6 the Huawei Nexus looks downright svelte.

Not so for the N5 vs. the new N5X, though.

    Engadget:

To answer the question: "How do the new Nexuses look side by side?"

    Droid Life:

Are super-crispy 60fps videos your thing? Then Droid Life's got your back.

If these videos haven't satiated your Nexus obsession, even more videos are available via the links directly below...

From GSMarena it appears the 5x has band 12 LTE which will be good for many US users.

    Can't resist, here's one more:

A hummingbird captured in 720p at 240fps. Looks like there may be a Huawei Nexus in my future...

They have the hardware. But they are disabled per T-Mobile's demands. Same as all of the Moto devices that were released this year.

    Anybody preorder one yet ?
    I got the 128G Nexus 6P,
Stupid name Nexus 6P, do not know anything about Huawei (even hot to say it), disappointed no Qi charging and the lame camera hump.

But it does has 128 Gig ....
Google says the focused a battery life and the camera

The finger print thing will likely never get used in Canada.
    Not worried about over heating.

The Nexus 5X is way to small for me and the specs look mid range at best.

I just purchased a Moto X Pure. I'm thinking about returning it for the Nexus 6p. There are certainly some differences but I can't decide if it's worth it... I'll be able to put my hands on the Pure tomorrow...

Both phones look great and seem to be very good improvements over the previous Nexus phones.

If only my budget would allow for it...

Both the Moto X Pure and Huawei Nexus 6P are sweet phones. Two things going for the Huawei Nexus 6P is it received very high scores for its camera from the imaging experts at DxOMark, beating out the iphone 6 and 6plus, Note 4, and G4. Plus the battery is huge at 3450 mAh.

Actually, I've seen nothing indicating that Band 12 is disabled, since the phone is also made to be compatible on US Cellular, which uses Band 12. Beyond that, T-Mobile doesn't have the ability to force any manufacturer to disable Band 12. From what I've seen from Motorola, it was the FCC that required Band 12 be disabled.

Last, Google on Reddit stated today they expect to have T-Mobile VoLTE certification before the new Nexus phones ship at the end of next month.

Sounds like Band 12 is still being worked on between Google and TMobile.

Anywho, my preorder of a 6P is said to be delivered from Nov 5-9. Anyone else have a different date?

I've seen people who claim to have dates of Oct. 30 (wonder if they are getting overnight shipping?), as well as a few that have Nov 10-12. I've ordered a White 6P 64GB and also have the Nov. 5-9 date.
