I've not followed Ring Plus very much.
Is it possible to buy a prepaid phone at, say, Best Buy, and activate with them (on this, or other plans)?

NEAT. Almost worth going to get a Sprint prepaid Moto E, if it works.

Yes, for the most part but with some caveats. Do a forum search for RingPlus and you should easily find the relevant threads. I got a $40 SPP LG Volt and activated it on RingPlus.

How about a Nexus 6, ESN used to be boost, now flashed with a custom ROM for one of those mostly Wi-Fi services?

Some people have had problems getting LTE data (Spark) with the Moto E from Sprint Prepaid. I am NOT one of those people, but I did have to do a profile update after I downloaded the 5.1 Android System update to get any sort of data.

I have a LG tribute, LG Tribute Duo and a Moto E all from SPP on Future Plans.

Is it possible to sign up other than online. I am denied because the Sprint voice coverage area ends 20 feet behind the house. I am in the LTE coverage area. If I use a different mailing address the credit card is not approved.

It will activate under the offer if it passes the ESN test, including FEC.

There is no reason to predict if it would actually work with the ROM you describe. I assume you would want to flash it a standard ROM.

hm, so if you have a line you want to port out but still have top-up on that account, you can't transfer that balance to another existing r+ number. if you want to port a number in, it is $7.99. if you want to port a number out, it is $7.99. people wonder how they stay in business, i guess the answer is via creative means

They will not waive that. They say Sprint fines them if they allow it.

Some people have changed their credit card address.

Or I believe one of the low-end free plans does not require a credit card and you can use that if that is good enough for you. You might be able to upgrade it later - not sure.

Yes they have just removed it from https://store.ringplus.net/ .

It was always "while supplies last" in the fine print. PrepaidPhoneNews covered it a little while ago and maybe that gave too much volume.

Jasmine and Pepper VIP remain open.

At least until tomorrow when Future Plan 7.0 is reborn from the dead carcass of Future Plan 6.0
