3 carrier test at Disneyland Star Wars land. Test performed under these faux cell site panels? A very rustic looking underside.

And the winner is... (1) T-Mobile - via Google Fi, (2) Verizon, (3) AT&T - via Red Pocket MVNO. Does AT&T throttle MVNO’s? T-Mobile doesn’t appear to throttle Google Fi.

How did you get it to lock on to band 14?

Do you think those panels are for all the carriers? Typically at WDW its AT&T only due to the 2013 agreement. I wouldn’t be shocked if Red Pocket is somewhat throttled. But I don’t really know. Haven’t been to DL in ages but capacity was rough in 2013. Glad to see multiple carriers working well. I’m going to WDW next week but am avoiding Disney Hollywood Studios. I’ll check out Star Wars in November. I wonder if ‘Batuu East’ also has the panels.

The wiring job is sloppy though.

I think that’s on purpose. There’s exposed wires, cables and pipes all over the land. It seems to be part of the theme.

It’s fortunate that the big 3 carriers are doing well, because “Disney Guest” WiFi has been disconnecting all day on both my iPhone 11 Pro Max, and my son’s iPhone 11. But my wife’s 11 Pro Max hasn’t had the issue. I don’t know if it’s their network or the new iPhone? It seems like every time I look down I’m back on LTE and I need to manually re-connect even in full WiFi signal areas. Off to the iPhone forums...

That thing looks like the WWII Flak Towers in Germany and Austria.

Yeah, I don't have good luck with Disney WiFi anymore. Even where it used to be good (All Parks until 2016; Aulani in 2013; Grand Floridian Villas 2013-2016), it really is horrible now. It's always been bad at Animal Kingdom Lodge but is being replaced this year according to the GM. I blame it on people constantly streaming video. You're on vacation, look up from your phone!

More permits in Forest Hills, NY, this time from Mobilitie which has worked with AT&T in the past with work being done on Austin street this time. Ton of work scheduled around here and more permits keep appearing. No clue who Mobilitie is doing work for and which carriers will be able to use it. Forest Hills seems to be getting a lot of attention now in areas which were previously neglected.

I am wondering when Bayside, NY area will see same level of activity, perhaps Forest Hills is closer to Manhattan so that accounts for why it gets upgraded first. All of NYC will get the same 5G+ service so this appears to be the early phase of it.

    AT&T 4G HSPA+/LTE Speedtests!

Some more rural speed tests, way out East:
