    Canada Vacation

So I am going to Montreal with my wife for a long quick getaway.

We need service in case family needs to get a hold of us and we will probably need our phone to get ideas of places to eat and where to go. Plus using google maps etc.

I just ordered the prepaid $0.99 sim. What prepaid plan would cover me in canada?

it works in Canada and Mexico. take a look at the prepaid coverage map on tmo website.

Is it possible to activate a day or weekly data only pass on an iPhone 6 plus?

All I really need is data.

that's a good question. not a whole lot of info about prepaid roaming. I doubt using your 5gb outside of t mobile's network is free.

According to the pre-paid internet page it allows for data usage in Canada and Mexico.
    http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/prepaid-internet

Is it possible to use that for an iPhone or does it have to be a data device (iPad or hotspot)

but is the 5gb Walmart plan considered a simple choice plan? that'd be pretty sweet if data roaming was indeed free in Canada and Mexico.

Yeah, 5gb Walmart plan is not a simple choice prepaid plan. Those plans start at $50. this Walmart plan most of us on prepaid have is an ambiguous, gray area.

I'll stick to what I mentioned before, pay per use services while roaming.

If you're going to be in Canada more than a couple of days, just stop at a Petro-Canada gas station and get one of their prepaid SIMs that works on the Rogers network here.
    SaskTel 306, Rogers 647 data, Rogers 306 flex tablet, Bell 519 flex tablet, Wind 587, PureTalkUSA 406, T-Mobile 716 & 347 prepaid, AT&T iPad SIM 716, T-Mobile postpaid data 619, Toggle Mobile (UK/FR/US), GiffGaff (UK)

GSM phones: Too many to list.
