    Any Cricket/AT&T customers can't text?

    Since yesterday all my texts are failing to send. Just plain SMS. This is happening on Cricket, but maybe not on H2O. On h2o phone calls still work, and probably texts. But on Cricket I can't get any texts out.

    Lots of similar problem reports on AT&T network-based providers, most likely the transition to RCS.

    It's not that because I can call and text with H2O. It must be a Cricket problem. I don't want to use some workaround app.

    Almost always when this happens with various AT&T MVNOs I find that if I shut the phone off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on SMS and MMS instantly start working again. This frequently happens if I have traveled out of my home area then returned. Occasionally, it takes a few cycles of the turning it off and then on again. It has been this way with Net10, Straight Talk, Red Pocket, H2O, and Pure Talk running on AT&T, and with a variety of phones. Something to do with AT&T service apparently.

    You're right! I turned the phone off and rebooted and now it's working again! Thanks.

    Of course it is not affecting all subscribers, but there definitely has been a major uptake of such complaints starting around the same time as the RCS rollout.

    I got a notification from AT&T on my Mark the Spot app that they're adding a tower here within 60 days.
