So Anyone Getting The Xiaomi Mi5?

Since the topic hasn't been covered here (or on any Canadian tech blog), are any of you interested in the Xiaomi Mi5?

Yes I'm aware the bootloader is locked, you'd have to import it and then there's the frequency problem. But the only carrier totally unsupported is Wind Mobile(at least in Canada.)
But lets look at it for its value it brings
    - Latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
    - Good camera
    - Big battery (Li-Po 3000 mAh)
and its biggest advantage price($369.00usd or CA$482.91 from oppomarkt)

That stinks that they aren't compatible with VZW's network. But it is a gorgeous phone, reminds me of the S7 Edge a little. I like the form factor. I'm upgrading on my birthday this year to the Nexus 5X but I have considered the One+ lineup and this included.

Look at it this way the phone may not be compatible but at least cell service is cheaper in the USA than here in Canada

If you google, you can find a loophole that allows you to flash it with other rom, even though the bootloader is locked.

That's not a reliable source as the fine print on the site even states. It states Rogers support but Rogers LTE does not work. So I thought I'd ask if anyone has first hand experience.

    Xiaomi Mi5 Specs state:
    GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz, WCDMA: 850/900/1900/2100MHz, LTE-FDD: 1800/2100/2600MHz (B1/B3/B7)

Rogers deploys 2600Mhz in the Big Cities (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogers_Wireless#LTE)

Ive used: OnePlus Two (China Variant), Mlais M7 and haven't had any problems using them in Canada for LTE (TORONTO)
