    AT&T GoPhone vs Postpaid

    Hi,

I'm wondering what the difference is between prepaid vs postpaid. I'd be using the prepaid with my iPhone 6s. Is it the same network with the same coverage, and same data speeds as postpaid?

Only thing with postpaid is roaming capability and having first priority on network. Besides that same native network and data speeds.

Thanks! This is helpful. Can any GoPhone customers share with me your data speeds?? Trying to figure out whether Verizon or AT&T would be better.

So with no VoLTE on prepaid, I wouldn't be able to use data during a call? Is that right?

I've used data during calls with GoPhone. That's always been possible with GSM-based systems.

It means you can't get LTE speeds while on calls only faster 3g aka 4g.

GoPhone has a little less coverage than postpaid. If you don't live in Nebraska, you have nothing to worry about. If I move to a different place next month, I'd go back to GoPhone instead of Verizon prepaid.

Actually Nebraska is one of the places that GoPhpne does have roaming.

Yes, but the goPhone roaming is only half of what postpaid get.

Only since "3G". 2G GSM was either voice or data, not both at a time.
iPhone X is my current primary phone. I have older model iPhones and Moto phones available on other lines. Currently prepaid, though would consider postpaid on right plan.

And if I was making the decision between GoPhone and Cricket, it would be GoPhone because of Nebraska. It has been over a year since I last visited family there, but I go back on occasion.

Does anyone know if Go Phone has roaming in the Nevada area south of Reno? I routinely drive through Highway 95 going into California. The last time I went I was on Cricket and I had nothing for close to 6 hours. If AT&T postpaid provides better coverage in this area then Go Phone that would sway my decision to postpaid, even if it ends up with less data per month
