However I will concede that if Wind were not around I would do this plan with Koodo

The speed is unusable... if you're throttled and can't even hit 5GB in the month, then isn't the Koodo 5GB plan a better deal as it's consistently served and I think they text you when you're close to going over, even asking if you'd accept the overage charges before going beyond the 5GB. So the customer shouldn't be surprised or bill butt hurt http://help.koodomobile.com/plans-ad...hock-free-data

Its a $5 / month credit for 10 months that has been available for quite some time now.

I stay with Wind because I am paying $72+ taxes for 3 lines for unlimited talk, text and data as well as a free entry level phone every 2 years. The service is not great, but it works work me.

Koodo has no zones so they always had cross Canada coverage

You can get a prepaid add-on for other provinces with PM. I have it and it costs 4c/min.

I also have a phone with Wind that does not work when it roams on one of the Away partners, and I believe it's Telus.

To answer the original question, I don't know why stay with Wind. No new towers in Ottawa makes me want to switch.

If you can find me a carrier that can provide me a plan that is 20GB with US Roaming under $100, then I will leave. I pay only $60 a month for 20GB, US roaming, and unlimited text and talk.
    Telus: Peace of mind $115 50gb - VIP 20% = $92 + TAX

I can guarantee that Public Mobile does not get full access to LTE. My brother's phone, which is a S5, got 20mbps (the upload speed was literally higher than it's download speed) on LTE, while when I tested using my Bell sim (on the same device), I was pulling in nearly 100mbps.

But 20 mbps is more than enough for regular usage.

As for why one would stay with Wind - it's because it's service is good enough around my area and I'm grandfathered into the 30 dollar plan. Hopefully service will improve once LTE is rolled out.

I get 50 down and 30 up on my 4 year old phone that just supports AWS LTE with my PM sim. I'm sure devices that support the other bands score even higher.

With the $40 Holiday Miracle Plan I get pretty much everything I need at the moment plus Wind added on the World Saver for free so that is a nice bonus.

Also, it's funny to see the same people trolling this sub forum after all these years with their anti-Wind nonsense.
