    Any help would be appreciated.
Spent 1/2 a month throttled due to a bum app on the wife's iPhone blowing through 6GB of data in short order. Yes, you are throttled automatically. 128k while slow is enough for e-mail, navigation, and even music streaming. Forget video, picture sharing, or anything very bandwidth intensive. It's slow but usable.

I contacted retention and asked for doubling my 3GB/mo to 6GB/mo at no additional charge. The call only took a few minutes and it was quite simple. I like a positive interaction like that. Thanks to the folks in this thread for posting the information here.

Nice, were you able to get Canada and Mexico roaming too?

Sorry for all the questions but I really need to change my family plan and I want to make sure I understand all the options.

The regular 60GB MSA Plan is $270. Let’s say a retention plan exists at 50% off, $135 for 60GB (which is a lie I was promised many months ago). EVEN THEN, why would you go with that plan vs the $115 Unlimited plus, where you could use way more the just 60GB?

Two reasons: I’m in an area that’s always overloaded with traffic, and Hotspot more than most. As it is, I get 4-6 down and 1-2up. What am I going to have if I’m deprioritized?

So the 6 GB plan is still available for customers even new ones that wish to sign up in a day or two can get this plan?

Keep in mind that the post you quoted was almost 2 months ago, YMMV.
If I'm annoyed and you're annoyed, does that make us a paranoid ??

It's worth a try but it's no guarantee. A friend tried the other day but att wouldn't give it to him. He's had att for about 5 years straight so I was surprised they didn't offer it to him.

Over the span of 6 months he's tried on a few different occasions with no luck.

Really? I just called retentions and asked for it, and they gave it to me. I didn’t even have to threaten to leave. It was really quite simple, but I guess your mileage varies with certain reps.

Yeah the right rep can make a big difference. My friend plans to try again but he doesn't want to be a pest. He's happy with att but more data at the same price is always nice

Nothing new...blows my mind they randomly offered an extra 5GB on these last Spring. No Loyalty/Retention MSF plans yet.

Has anyone actually took advantage of the 2 year contract offers? Wondering if it was truly no extra fee ($20 a month) on buying the phone that way. I am on a unlimited plus and that's the only thing stopping me from doing it as i have a hot spot on 2 year contract anyway.
