I can still technically do 2-year contracts in store, but I'd rather not. Sprint doesn't pay dealers anymore for 2-year contracts, so I don't make any money doing them. However, they do count towards my tiered commission plan (example, selling 1-50 phones pays me $30 per phone, 51+ pays me $50. Doing a 2-year contract doesn't pay me any dollar value, but it counts towards this tiered attainment goal, so a 2-year contract will count towards one of the 51+ I need even though I won't get a direct pay from it).

As far as I know, 2-year contracts still count towards a dealers' overall phone upgrade/activation goal, like if they're expected to do 1,000 phones per month between all store, but you won't exactly find this being advertised. I have no financial incentive to do a 2-year contract, but I have an incentive towards it helping my goal if a customer is just going to walk out the door and I'm not busy anyway.

I'm about to complete the 2yr Agrmt for my iPhone 6 and would like the same $299 deal I got 2 years ago in an iPhone 7. Here in Reno we have 6 Sprint Stores. 1 is corporate. The other 5 are a third party that serves Sprint exclusively.

From which do you think I am more likely to get the old deal?

I believe Sprint stores no longer offer 2 year contracts. Try Best Buy.

I'd still take the time to run the total cost of ownership of a 2-year contract vs. installment plans or leasing. Based on your data plan, acces fee and smartphone, a $299 contract might not be your best financial option.

I don't see any contract pricing on Best Buy's website today for phones. Is it finally over?

Yep. Done and done. Costo still has them though.

Darn. If Sprint has stopped contracts completely, they've lost all of their competitive advantage to me.
I have ran a spreadsheet over and over and over the numbers of Sprint vs. AT&T new unlimited plan, as I am a Direct TV customer in an area with no band 41 in the state I've ever seen and roaming in my drive every day.

My wife says "why switch", and she never leaves the house lol.

Gonna check Costco price... oh yeah, none of those here either.

Sorry this was an Arkansas rant not a Sprint one. 😆

Hold on, I will have to look at Sprint loyalty credits before I throw in the towel. But no way I'm a paying full price for an iPhone on the Sprint network.

I was curious, and was checking out some of the threads at sprintusers.com. Some people were on SERO plans and were also concerned about the disappearance of the 2-Year subsidized option. However, it sounds like Telesales can still offer 2-Year pricing as a last resort if ou threaten to leave.

Hopefully, they'll still be able to do that in December when you are eligible.

SERO customers lost the option to upgrade in-store. Unless you know the workaround, online and SERO telesales seem to be the only options currently.

It doesn't appear so. Not on the website anyway.
