Can't figure out what the keypad alpha characters are for, as text input seems to be all touchscreen. Keyboard would be mighty small!

Telephone dialpad has always had letters on them, even before texting started, for people to use as mnemonic. Example: "Dial xxx-CAR-CARE for the best auto shop in town" and all pilots know to call 1-800-WX-BRIEF to get a flight weather briefing.

Funny how I don't even see the letters anymore on the dialer. They go back to the early days of direct dialing. Your local code was two letters followed by numbers. Forget how far you could call before it was long distance and needed an operator.

It's always a waiting game...No idea until they just appear online or someone spots one in a store and posts about it.

It's called the ZTE Cymbal T LTE in the user manual. This is something out of the usual basic vs. smartphone category. Used as a telephone a flip is more natural than a bar type...more like a land line handset.

I always wondered how long it would take to come up with a phone "handle"...

I don't know if Best Buy actually has it in stock yet. "Shipping: Not Available". "Store Pickup: Not available at any store within 250 miles of Topeka KS".
