We WANT ANSWERS as to WHY this happened.

They're going to release the iPhone tomorrow, so perhaps they were tweaking the network getting ready for it... and they over-tweaked it? Or maybe it was Verizon/Sprint/AT&T/Trump sabotage?

Not having access to 911 is serious stuff. I made a test call during the outage (to an 800 number) at one point and it went through. However, my phone was having a difficult time holding onto the network and seemed to confuse my phone as to whether it was connected or not. So, maybe I just got lucky when I made that call. I sincerely hope there were no real emergencies that could have been prevented but individuals couldn't make a phone call.

Your phone will use any network that's it's capable of when dialing 911. If you have a GSM/HSPA chipset, that will generally be AT&T. But if you have a phone with a CDMA chipset that radio can be used to dial 911 even on Verizon, US Cellular or Sprint (etc).

Problem was it didn't connect, at all. They were saying that Emergency Call didn't show up on their phone. That's very strange.

My problem is that my phone would connect to T-Mobile's network, but couldn't complete the call -- 'Your call could not be completed: message 048t'

All I got is that it was a Change Request that went terribly wrong. Something with the routers. Not sure if it was a new piece of equipment or a software update.

No carrier is immune to outages but i always hate when theres no explanation of what happened in a timely manner. When a carrier has an outage and i dont know whats going on, first thing that comes to mind is that the network sucks.

Id rather know whats going on. Not singling tmobile out just saying in general
