@jcalder have the turned on the tower near you? It would appear that the one near 75&205 is up and running

Nope, still nothing. Been hearing of intermittent service from the tower just west of St. Jean though. Guys at CPS filling ammonia tanks said they suddenly had really good LTE signal. Don't know if it's still on or not.

It's been going off and on more often these days. Last week at home I had full signal of LTE and decent speeds coming off it. Now LTE is junk but I have full service 3G.

Must still be configuring things. I know earlier today I was on a call and my phone kept cutting in and out, it was very annoying.

Now I'm really confused. Tower seems like it's been live for about a day. On my old iPhone 5S in the test mode for serving cell on LTE it says it's on Band 4, download frequency is 2050.

Why would anyone in their right mind deploy AWS frequencies on a low-populated area, rural tower? I'm very confused.

Thanks Positive Climb. It's a shame you're still allowed to post here after the things you said to DennyCrane.

Anyway, I finally went and got a picture of the new tower today. It's been on for over 24 hours now.

Tower has been on for awhile now. Sure is different having service everywhere including metal buildings like the arena in town.

LTE service off it is pretty poor though. Speed tests aren't nearly what I thought they'd be either. Maybe 20 mbps if you're lucky. Not that it matters, that's just an observation.

But even on main street in town 1-2 "bars" is all it squeaks out of LTE. HSPA service is solid everywhere though.

@jcalder so do you run your phone in lte or hspa? We have a business northwest of morris, and i put all the phones in hspa mode to get more consistent service.

I usually leave mine in HSPA as well. Suits my needs just fine.

When we get back on the fields in spring will probably use LTE just because it's faster. But it seems like the LTE signal is just poor no matter where you go.
