Boxing day promo, 6GB, unlimited Canada wide

Kind of surprised this hasn't been posted yet. This is clearly one of the best plans, promo or otherwise, that Fido has had for many years.

Only available Dec 26 and 27. Copied from:
    http://forums.redflagdeals.com/fido-...g-day-2068560/
    $60 BYOD BOXING day Promo
    6GB DATA
    Unlimited Canada Calling
Unlimited Texting Canada, US & international Numbers
    Call waiting
    Caller ID
    Mini Voice-mail

    Other notes:

    • 10% additional lines
    • qualifies for 1000 international LD minutes/month*
    • May also qualify for $10/BYOP discount for 12 months.

The last two are in question and will depend on how informed your rep is. Apparently their internal docs confirm both are part of the promo, but Fido being Fido, maybe reps are unaware or docs or inaccurate, so YMMV.

    *Countries included:
    ◦ Australia
    ◦ Bangladesh
    ◦ China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan)
    ◦ Germany
    ◦ India
    ◦ Italy
    ◦ Mexico
    ◦ UK
Unlocked iPhone XS Max 256GB, Unlocked JetBlack 128GB iPhone 7Plus, Unlocked 64GB iPhone 6, unlocked 32GB iPhone 5 (AWS), unlocked 16GB iPhone 4
$60/10GB Unlimited Canada-wide anytime minutes, Unlimited international messaging (SMS/MMS) CD, VM

No visual voice mail and only mini voice mail.

Wonder if you can add visual voice mail (enhanced voice mail to this plan).

Mini voice mail gives you 3 voice mail messages?

I think someone on RFD mentioned a $5 value pack with VVM you could add. I'd have to check it the pack mint include CCF or name display too. Worth asking if you get the plan.

    found it:
I know Roam like home isn't included. The value pack that includes visual voicemail has the following so I assume name display is not included

-Name Display (must have Call Display to benefit from this feature)
-Premium Voicemail-To-Text with 35 voice messages
-Unlimited US & International text, picture and video messages US & International Premium Calling Rate to mobile and landline phones
    -WhoCalled
    -2,500 Call Forwarding Minutes
    $5

VVM was available as an add on with the Black Friday 40$ plan. Therefore, it should be available on this plan.

Do you know if the $65 for 4 GB pulse plan is also a promo or the standard price? (as in eventually if I need roam like home, if I can switch)

Thank you for posting this Ceredon! So to confirm, we can add the $5 iPhone VVM value pack? And we don't have to be new customers?

You don't need to be a new customer. I personally know 5 people who switched to it who were already Fido customers. Does not include RLH though. If you have device subsidy it needs to be paid off.

I just called in and had no problems getting this plan. Paid to cancel my current tab, and then got this plan + $5VP (VVM and $0.01 calling to US). Took 5 minutes in call. Was surprised, never had a call go so quickly when calling Fido.

Thinking of moving from Koodo's 5 GB $55 Manitoba plan. Any catch with this Fido plan?

Boxing day promo, 6GB, unlimited Canada wide

Is conference calling included in this plan? I asked one rep over the phone and she said it's NOT. Is that correct?

    Edit:

It DOES come with conference calling. As usual, the fido reps are misinformed and/or not given the correct information.

Either way, thankful to see Fido actually bring out a Boxing Day deal.

Sweet, I just upgraded my second line to this plan... and the kicker, I was told my two credits would not be discontinued...

I had a 10% discount for adding a second line... and an additional 10% BYOD... my line will total $54.92 after tax.

(Actually, $60.57 as I added a $5 Value Pack for US calling... the 1000 LD is, unfortunately, useless for me as I don't call any of the '8 select' countries).

The usual $05.00 Value Pack Add-On...

I'm on the old 6 GB plan with a plan and VP totalling $80 plus tax. But the nice thing is that overages are $10/GB. I tend to go over by about 1 GB every couple months when there are sports or movies I really want to watch without a wifi connection. To think that this plan would be an extra $50/GB over, kinda sux, but it's still tempting. I could probably keep my data under 6 GB if I monitored more closely, but the beauty of $10/GB In overages means that the imperative to keep an eye on my usage isn't really there. And also, over the next few years, data usage will only go UP with all the fast LTE phones, big apps and video streaming. So I dunno what to do.

Get this plan, then their $15/3GB plan on their LG tablet (which is free after 2 year contract). Now you have a better screen to watch movies on and 3GB for only $15!
