Now my only problem is the battery and how easily it gets overheated compared to the Unite Explore. Well its still a good hotspot though.

What do you mean by overheat? Its giving an error / shutting down?

No error or rather by the time I notice it is already shut off because of heat.

I've noticed the battery is draining faster. Fully charged last night and was on it for about 10 minutes or so then turned WiFi off on my connected device. It sat idle all night with 0 devices connected and it was down to 53% this morning. That's not good.

Yeah performance is good but I've noticed battery life isn't quite great.

On a scale from 1 being a 4510L and 10 being a 6620L how bad is the battery life?

Since I've had neither not sure but I'm thinking the most I can squeeze out of it is 10-11 hours. I think I'll start timing it tomorrow.

The 4510L does about 2 to 4 hours at best. The 6620L will run about a day and a half as in if I turn it on when I get to work and forget to turn it off I will still be able to use it through lunch the next day.

10 hours would easily meet my needs.

Well, I ran it through the paces this weekend since the update. It worked pretty flawlessly actually. I did notice the device got pretty hot while being used and on the charger. With the charger unplugged, it stayed fairly cool. Really no complaints other than battery life.

what kind of temperatures are you using the device in? I think I'll go see if I can rma it because I know my first att explore had many issues such as overheating and never charging but I returned it and bought it elsewhere and the new att explore never overheated.

Just room temerature around 70 degrees. While streaming and surfing, it gets a tad warm but nowhere near the point of overheating. Now while plugged into the charger and constant streaming it gets hot fairly quickly. Hopefully, they will fix the issue soon.

    two questions:
    1) any way to change the screen brightness?
    2) any way to change the power output/range?

    thanks!
