best prepaid SIM data for Hawaii

WE will be going to Kauai and are looking for a prepaid mainly for data use. We live in Canada so getting a SIM mailed is difficult. What's the best package that could be picked up at WalMart or other retailer for 3Gb use?

Total Wireless has an unlimited T&T+5GB data for $35/30 Days and is available in Walmart.

It looks to me like Kauai is covered. https://www.totalwireless.com/wps/po...rt/coveragemap

Total Wireless' CDMA Verizon-based service will not work with Telus phones. That LG G3 (probably D852) will be most compatable with an AT&T service. I'm not sure what AT&T MVNO SIMs are available at Walmart, but an AT&T store could easily set someone up with GoPhone.

Actually, Walmart does have StraightTalk and Net10, which will work fine. Be sure to use the AT&T SIM and not the T-Mobile or Verizon SIM.

If your phone is unlocked, get the Tmobile 5GB plan for $30

100min ($0.10/min extra)/Unlimited text and MMS/5GB high speed (unlimited throttled after that) [unlimited music streaming (doesn't use your 5G)]

    https://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/other-prepaid-plans

You can pick up a sim anywhere, just call to activate that plan.

GoPhone should be available at Walmart or many other places on The island. One potential benefit for you with GoPhone is they have unlimited texting to/from Canada. So $45 gets you more than enough data and unlimited texting.

The $60 plan also includes unlimited talk to Canada. I know you asked about data, but the texting and/or calling to Canada may also be of value to you.

Yes, an AT&T MVNO or prepaid is best. Your phone will not have T-Mobile's band 12, and AT&T will have better coverage. Cricket is OK, but data (LTE and HSPA+) will be faster, and pings better, on GoPhone.
