    T-Mobile Samsung S7 vs. unlocked Samsung S7

I've looked over the overall stats page, and was wondering... why would anyone want to pay ~ $100 more for a locked T-Mobile Samsung S7 vs. the unlocked from Samsung themselves ?

The 'only' advantages that I can see...
    1. T-Mobile branding (support may give middle finger for non branded phones)
    2. Lack of LTE-FDD (which is used in China). LTE-TDD is used in most countries.
    AT&T... your world, throttled.

    VoLTE, RCS, 4x4 MIMO, 3xCA, and 256QAM.

    Way faster speeds on LTE.

Also, FDD is the most widely used form of LTE. There are also TDD LTE deployments in nearly every country in the world including the US.

    That's not right at all.
    China uses TDD
USA, Sprint is the only major operator who uses TDD on B41.

The SM-G930T supports TDD bands 38,39,40, and 41.

But if you don't care for VoLTE, RCS, 4x4 MIMO, 3xCA, and 256QAM then nothings wrong with paying $100 less.

From what I can see on the specs... The only difference between the 'T-Mobile' S7 and the unlocked is...

    Network

    Frequencies and Data Type

    4G TDD LTE: B38(2600), B39(1900), B40(2300), B41(2500)

    Both phones have:

    2G GSM: GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900
    3G UMTS: B1(2100), B2(1900), B4(AWS), B5(850)
    3G TD-SCDMA: B34(2010), B39(1880)
    4G FDD LTE: B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B18(800), B19(800), B20(800)

I don't see why VoLTE would disappear.... I have a Moto X Pure, and VoLTE works fine, same with my old Nexus 6.

Do they both offer wifi calling?
GoogleVoice (domestic call forwarding and cheap intl. calls) Use GV to give us a "home" number in a 2nd location
8 T-Mobile lines - Unlimited talk and text, data. TM One plan. Get $10/mo. rebate on 7 lines for low data use. Net cost about $185-190/mo. We haven't had a landline in more than 17 years.

I wonder why not on the unbranded. In theory, it shouldn't be an issue, as Tmobile has free calling in many countries.

If your talking about SM-G935T vs SM-G935U then they are the same phones. You can flash the firmware vice versa, a Tmobile version can be flashed to a Unlocked version, or the other way around. I like the Unlocked version better since it didn't have all the T-Mobile Bloatware. Also the built in Samsung caller ID function works not disabled by T-Mobile. I don't use wifi calling to often, but I believe wifi calling works also on the unlocked version. Have to check since it's been a while since I used it, since mine is now running a beta version of Android 7 now.

I'll have to take a look at the actual version in store at Frys. It's $529

According to this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...u-tmo-t3467158), VoLTE and WiFi Calling appear to work on the unlocked g930u model.
