I'm not familiar with that card. Does it have MIMO dual antenna ports? From what I've read on other forums, this antenna https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is only real effective with devices that have dual MIMO antenna ports, like the Unite Pro, Unite Explore, the latest Verizon jetpacks, etc.

I just bought and activated s Mobley directly through AT&T. After installing the app I found stream saver turned on. I was able to toggle it off myself directly through the app. I took a couple of before and after screen shots I can post later if anyone wants to see them.

Yep, I just checked and the Stream Saver option is no longer grayed out and is now user-selectable on both of my Connected Car accounts! As expected, and better late than never I guess.

Now one question I have as a result of all this is whether Stream Saver 'on' means a 1.5 mbps video throttle (as detailed in AT&T's documentation and adequate for SD video) and Stream Saver 'off' means the 4 mbps video throttle that we've been seeing (just adequate for 720p HD video), or whether 'off' really means off. I'm happy with how things are working right now so I'm not inclined to mess with it on my account, but it would be helpful if someone who has not had DSOFF applied could toggle the Stream Saver feature on and off and report speeds from fast.com in both modes. When toggling the setting remember that it may take a few minutes for the network setting to update.

Confirmed....I did not have the DSOFF code applied, my account showed SS on this morning, turned it off, waited the 5 minutes and rebooted, fast.com show as high as 22mb now, prior to that it was 3.2mb average.

I started a thread in the Verizon jetpack forum looking for which one to get. Adding an antenna is one consideration.

    Thoughts?

X2. I guess all the crying and whining and begging of CSR's was unnecessary.

Thanks, that answers my question above. Apparently when you turn Stream Saver off via the web interface it is truly off.

As some of us had suggested multiple times (as in just wait a bit and you will be able to do it yourself.) But hey, I got sucked into the frenzy too. Glad it is no longer necessary.

After about an hour and a half and 5 customer service agents and with the tips on this forum I was able to get DSOFF put into the Social on my account so I have no more throttling.

One problem that I have not been able to solve is my Mobley needing a power cycle approximately every 24 hours to get it working again.

I checked this morning and the Stream Saver On/Off feature is active. I have three Mobleys on my account and they were all turned on. I toggled to off and selected save. It is under the "Manage My Data Usage" on the A T & T site.

Or, now you can just go to your online account and do the same with a few clicks.

Regarding the Mobley, the need for a power cycle every x hours seems to be a common issue, although not everyone experiences it. I wonder if this is really the Mobley or the network, in other words would the same thing happen in the same location using any other hotspot as well? I haven't had any opportunity to test this.

What's crazy is that my streamsaver toggle on the site still wasn't working until I chatted with customer service and had them add the dsoff code. Maybe it was coincidence but I checked when I saw the posts saying it was active. Nonetheless I'm glad that it's finally working. Guess I should have held out one more day lol

Yep, it's switchable on both my connected car and rural plan now... so much frustration, lol. But at least I got a week extra of HD video, lol.

It's just the mobley. I also have a Unite Explore and I have had it on for literally 3 weeks straight and it's still working fine..no power cycle needed. I normally leave it on the charger until I travel. Unfortunately I haven't had to travel lately so it's literally been plugged up for 3 weeks.

THANKS for this report!! I am shocked...shocked...this was ATT's dirty little secret they were going to keep to themselves, and I never thought we'd see the toggle live. Proved me wrong! LOL!
