    Holy smokes! If that's true my buddy's daughter is going to be super upset! And so will a lot of people out there.

    With AT&T working like crazy to pay off debt I'm surprised they might start enforcing this now. I can't imagine how many lines out there per month they would lose if they start enforcing this.

    I have come to never underestimate how shortsighted ATT can be. I would not be that surprised if they cut off this revenue stream thinking they can force those lines to upgrade. I most certainly will not. They can take the $35 a month or they can leave it. They'd be smarter to just raise prices another five bucks next year.

    I benefit from the Mobley plan but we all know some are beating the system as it was intended to be. If AT&T decides to validate the use of their Mobley or iPad plans, so be it. It’s their prerogative but hopefully, they will offer something to keep users on one of their plans.

    I hope they wait until they have a new hotspot plan for people to upgrade to that's a bit more competitive for backup or general use.

    A problem, for me, and in my opinion, is that ATT doesn't have a good hotspot plan for people to choose right now. Verizon's isn't great, but it's better. On Verizon's unlimited phone plan, the hotspot only slows to 600kbps instead of 128kbps if the limit is hit, so it's still usable at least. And Verizon still has 30 GB prepaid hotspot for $65/month as a current offering.

    Once 5G expands, I hope AT&T will have a good hotspot plan. Until then, I'm keeping my ipad plan (hopefully) as a backup -- use it once a week or so and it's still working well.

    First and foremost, thank you all for all of the great information!



    If you guys dont mind i have some questions based on this topic. I have recently purchased an MR1100 Nighthawk from BestBuy. Set the account up using the information i recieved from this thread. I used the "spoof" imei as mentioned on page 19. Account is active (for about 72 hours now) and i can not access LTE. Radio band - WCDMA-850 and HSPA_PLUS for service type.

    I know there is LTE coverage so im assuming something is wrong with the Nighthawk (does it HAVE to be unlocked to access LTE?) / maybe the Sim Card (came with the Nighthawk / or because the Sim was never actually put in an Ipad.

    Speeds 4.5mbps down/1.2mbps up

    Any input would greatly be appreciated!

    Why would anyone using this IPAD PLAN without actually using an iPad contact ATT to troubleshoot?

    Im having trouble finishing setting up this plan, I purchased the 34.99 plan, bought an att sim and put it in my unite770s. Im pretty sure i got all the imei stuff right. But all i get is the message "Mobile Broadband Disconnected". It wil not connect. The new sim has been in the device for about 15hrs. The number it gave me on the ipadlanding account page says "this number has been disconnected" when i try to log into att's prepaid site. Any suggestions?
