Question Email to SMS Service for if you DON'T know which carrier the person's with?

Once upon a time, we had a topic here somewhere on HoFo about the good old email extensions to use if you need to text someone using an email account. Exhaustive lists of those texting email extensions are easy to find with a quick Google Search.

But I also recall mention of a free online service that you could use to text a phone number even if you did NOT know what carrier the person uses. I need to be able to text a customer using my business' email address, but I don't know what carrier our customer uses. The only such service I've found so far is "TxtDrop", but when I tried sending the text from them, I got an "Operation Failed" error.

So, any help here would be hot! Can anyone recommend a working service to text someone from an email address if all I have is their phone number and I don't know what carrier they use? My Advanced Search here at HoFo couldn't even find the old thread on this topic.

EDIT: And I literally JUST found the info! The extension to use is @teleflip.com. So, for example, "[email protected]".

You can also use this as long as you know the phone number.
My smartphone is a lot smarter than I am.

Thanks, that's come in handy a couple times, including this afternoon.
