Terry Heenan R.I.P.

Funeral services were held today in Vancouver for Terry Heenan.

He was best known as President and COO of BC Tel when it was a regulated utility, before becoming telecom giant Telus. He also held senior positions with Maritime Tel & Tel, the Trans Canada Telephone System, Telesat Canada and the Canadian Telephone Carriers Association.

True. BC Tel, AGT (itself a conglomeration), QuebecTel and several smaller entities. However, BC Tel made up 64% of the new Telus.

I thought AGT bought Ed Tel then renamed to TELUS. Once they merged with BC tel the new company was temporarily called BCT.Telus. Finally they renamed the entire enterprise TELUS.
