Total Wireless now w/ more data

2 lines for $60 now have 15gb instead of 8gb

3 lines for $85 now have 20gb instead of 12gb

4 lines for $100 now have 25gb instead of 15gb

They do charge tax, but if you enroll in automatic payment it gets you 5% off

Sweet! My boys are going to be happy!

That's a pretty amazing data increase for the shared plans at no extra cost!

For a 2 line shared plan, Total Wireless is increasing the data allowance to 15GB/mo shared, up from the previous 8GB/mo. So it will now have 7GB/mo EXTRA shared data, or 7.5GB/mo EACH, if used equally, which is a pretty nice increase for no extra cost!

With auto-pay, the 2 line shared account is ~$31.xx/mo per line after taxes/fees.

It seems TW also supports native tethering from phones w/o the need to use 3rd party apps

Only issue is the customer service and a lack of official VoLTE and visual voicemail. Seems some have this but it's not officially announced for them yet.

Also they are using a APN that adds latency as well.

yes, their customer service is notorious for all the bad reasons haha. But I wonder what the tipping point would be to take a chance with them. This is a pretty good amount of data now vs. others.
I wasn't aware of the APN issue however. Does it say verizon as the carrier? Or service is branded as total wireless?

Doesn't inserting the TW SIM fix the APN for you? That's been my experience with other SIMs.

WALMART removed the $35/6GB refill card from their website. Went to refill today, and it was gone.

Next plan was $60 for 2 lines.

    BUMMER.

That $60 plan comes with 15GB though. Pretty sweet deal.

Wow, this is great. I've been using Verizon PP with the bonus data and my son on the $25 boom wireless plan, but I think I will try this out next month. I'm only hesitant because for a year+ we both were using Tracfone with no issues. Then suddenly his phone would say TFW as the carrier and data would not work every time I had to renew it. I'd have to call 3 times before it would finally start working again. We tried new sims from TF, new sims from retailers, and they all did the same thing.

A few weeks ago I had noticed the banner "now with more data" on their website, but the data amount was unchanged. I have asked the customer support and of course they where oblivious. They even said that there is no banner showing on their end.

Now I see that my family plan was finally upgraded. But when I check my actual usage, I see a huge jump of some 10GB in data used until now. Is anyone seeing this?
I guess they will apply the increase only at the next billing cycle and they padded the data usage for this cycle?

Does Total Wireless allow Verizon phones on their plan? They don’t have very good phone selection.

Sure do. They also have an IMEI checker online if you want to be absolutely certain.

I just noticed that the add-on data is now 5GB for $10! That's up from the previous 3GB!
