OK, did that. When I put the WiFi on it still downloaded an update, but it may have started the last time I shut the WiFi off. It was only about 8 seconds. See what happens next time. Thanks.

Yes it will try to finish updating an app that it had started.

Hello Moto-people))) I have this phone for only one day now and here is my first Moto-question: is there any way to set the volume of notifications low and have a ring and alarm volume high? Am i missing something? I always keep notifications sounds very low and those loud notifications make me crazy(( I'm almost ready to turn all notifications off.
First impression - this phone way exceeds my expectations for the $40 phone! I only want it to shut up a little bit.

There is no option to separate the notification volume from the ring volume. This is one of the few things I dislike about the Moto E4.

Thank you for the answer. It's too bad. What other users do with this? How do you set your volumes? Please share your ideas.
I set a Tejat ringtone for notifications. It sounds less loud for me than other ringtones.
I'm also trying to figure out how "DO not disturb" option works.

The Facebook Pop sound is the lowest sounding one.
I don't use it but I was checking out the different sounds offered.

    1. Precise Volume can separate ringtone and notification.
    Or
    2. You can create your own custom ringtone with a lower volume. Place it in your phone's ringtones or notifications folder and then select it from settings.

Thank you, I'll try both ways. For only $40 it is an unbelievable device

Works better than I expected as an "extra" phone. Unlocked officially through Verizon. I've decided to dedicate it as my future "home" phone replacement.
iPhone X on ATT Prepaid. Backup iPhone 7+ on inexpensive Verizon MVNO plan. Hopefully covers me in the continental US for phone usage. Cheaper than a single unlimited plan on ATT or Verizon or T-Mobile.
