I hate that flagships or any phone is over $300.
I've grown used to the price increasing steadily over the years. I think my shock only hit when I saw how much the iPhone X will be with only 64GB storage. The Note 8 is pretty expensive but with the features, worth it. The V30 was $800, it's reasonable to me for what I'm getting out of it. The iPhone X? Charging $1k for features android has had for years? LOL Nope.

Those who are getting this or have it how'd you obtain it or planning to get it?
Bought outright from T-Mobile for 800.00.

This is the silver 64 GB version.

The unlocked version I think has potentially gained root. We might get lucky with the T-Mobile version but it's not guaranteed.

I'd want mine to work with "Samsung Pay", so I would avoid rooting.

I want a bigger screen. My G Flex was 6" & my current LG G4 is 5.5". I'd like a LG 7" with a 90% screen to body ratio. And that I can buy used on eBay 2yrs later for ~$150.

After seeing how poorly the camera shows on this recent video linked on Howard.....

    http://www.howardforums.com/content....mber-15th-2017

....I am moving away from the idea of the LG V30. I also found out that the V30 puts the volume buttons on the left side which makes them much harder to use... of course, LG has often had a problem with power buttons, with some models having hidden them a lens-smear away from the back camera.

I might reconsider this dismissal if it dropped below $300, but fat chance of that for a long time.

And wow, the S8 Active has bad volume button placement too. It's so much better on the Pixel. I had better go look to see if they messed this up on the Pixel 2....

After not having any buttons on the sides, top or bottom. I couldn't imagine. Love my LG's G4 & G Flex back switch. Brilliant idea really.

Just too overrated by the LG itself. Actually, LG V30 is the most expensive phone by the LG. If you want to buy any top-notch smartphone then just go for oneplus 5t or s9+. Iphone x will be better.

Technically, out of the ones you named, only the iPhone X is "top-notch"
