    Any way to do this?

I have a long held phone number attached to my T-Mobile prepaid that has over $100 on it. I am looking to port the number out. Any way to save that $$ to/with another (new) number? I vaguely remember this question/answer in a previous thread but since this T-Mobile Prepaid section has been shrunk don't see it.

I have done this before, how I did it was by opening a new prepaid line of service first, then I called customer service to have the balance transferred from the old line to the new one.

Once the funds showed up under the correct account, I ported the original line out.

You can change the Thread Display Option at the bottom of the home page of the forum to expand the period displayed, or just use search if you can remember a key phrase.

I'm trying to do this - want to keep the balance/plan and port out my number. I have the number I'd like the balance to go to, but two reps that I spoke with said that I could only move the balance and lose my original number or port out and lose my balance. Has anyone done this recently and had luck?
