I’d call and complain...be persistent, I’m sure they will play dumb at first. Will prob try other bs steps like new SIM card ect ect. Demand what you are paying for.

Here in Eugene, OR, I have two lines on the $55 plan which qualifies for corp. discount. So my net cost is closer to $50 even after taxes.
Both of my lines get full-speed LTE and I've never seen them throttled.

Admittedly, now that I don't have unlimited, I don't walk around randomly doing speed test as much as I once did. But one test I did just now was 40Mb/s down, and 40Mb/s up. Which is same as usual for the location.

And Like I say, I don't run speed tests often, I don't have problems with my video feeds to my phone (i.e. DirectTV Now, Netflix, Hulu...).

There is no “throttling” on any plan beside video. There is prioritization past 22 gigs on unlimited and always on go unlimited plan.

Can confirm again tonight that YouTube is streaming around 32mbps and does not appear to have a cap on it. Netflix still capped.

YouTube is back to being throttled here. Not sure when it started back up.

I really wonder what’s going on with it. If I had to guess they are getting slammed with complaints from people who’s YouTube buffers too much (like mine was).

I'd actually guess an experiment or a mistake. I don't think complaints mean much.

I don’t understand why they can’t come up with a way or a system where the video throttle only takes affect when the tower is loaded to a certain point. If I’m getting 100mbps second bandwith I really don’t understand the need for the video throttling. If I’m getting like 10-15 okay Fine I understand.

Or raise the throttle to a point where no one would notice. Maybe double it.

I mean it’s really not a great business practice to break your product to the point where I get frustrated with it pretty regularly. I’m an avid YouTube user. Sucks. Att doesn’t do this on their top plan. They let you turn it off for free at least.

I think they're testing new plans. Get ready, I don't think it will be pretty.

What else could they possibly be doing? Go go go unlimited we’re we pick what sites you get to use??? I’d hate it if you are right.

AT&T didn't take the bait on their new plans. They came up but didn't rise to Verizon levels. Those two always copy each other. I'm sure Verizon will respond and we probably won't like the response.
