What I'm looking for here specifically is the channel aware mode, and if vzw has implemented it. Evs 13.2kb/Channel Aware Mode.

Channel aware mode was implemented on my VZW to VZW EVS SWB 13.2, it wasn’t on the AMR WB call.

I had EVS:WB 13.2kHz on WZV to WZV calls since Galaxy S10. iPhone 11 too.

I’ve been seeing EVS SWB between my 11 Pro and my S20 both on Verizon, so I’m curious why you’re only seeing EVS WB.

I totally understand and I really want to know this as well. What model phone are you using and what model is being used on the other end? I know it’s AT&T but is it just straight through them or is one of the carriers an MVNO offshoot?

Does anyone know if this channel aware mode is found only on the latest models of phones or if it’s something baked into all phones that support the EVS codec, and it’s simply up to the carrier to activate? I ask because there’s two different 13.2 bandwidths for both wideband and super wideband and all phones might not report both.

Don't remember the exact call but it was likely either the iPhone xr, Note 10+ or Note 20 ultra. At&t - At&t postpaid.

Oh that’s so cool! Thanks for the upload! Ok so we know it’s on the network, but now, is it a regional rollout, nationwide rollout, or model to model rollout? What phone is being used on both ends of the Verizon to Verizon call, are they both on the same area?

Same area for the calls. Note 10 to a Verizon iPhone 12 and AT&T iPhone 12

Field test is still being weird so unfortunately not

What about in the analytic data log found under settings> privacy> analytics & improvements> analytics data> and look for the awdd log with the date of the test. Here it shows the codec used after every call.

I just checked now. This is between my Galaxy S20 and my daughter's iPhone 11, both on TotalWireless (VZW network). Hampton Roads area in Virginia. EWS-SWB Ch-Aware mode.

Man I wish I could get that service mode working on my S20.
Are you noticing any performance differences from before channel aware mode was implemented?

Voice call during EVS was great before and it is great now. Almost unreal for a voice call. Maybe if I would go somewhere with lower signal levels like inside my office building?

Most of the time those days I call in for conference calls (work from home) and those don't have that great quality voice. I mean they are OK, but regular 3kHz bandwidth. I didn't go actually in to the office in months.
