Yeah some retail stores have Dual Sim unlocked phones. However no Canadian Cell Phone Service Provider has sold a Dual Sim Phone. Perhaps things may change because all phones sold by cell phone provider are now going to unlocked so they may start bringing in Dual Sim Phones.

Dual sim phones give you a lot of choices. I don’t use many minutes so I don’t need unlimited calling, but in order to get a decent amount of data, my provider requires me to take a plan with unlimited calling or they force me to pay hefty prices for pay per use data.

With my dual sim phone, I have a small 100 minute plan with unlimited cdn text, call display and voicemail for $20.00 which meets my needs on sim 1 and a 10GB pay as you go data bucket on the 2nd sim which is good for 365 days that costs me $70.

On their pay per day use data they charge $20 per GB which is overly inflated.
    Knowledge is power.
