@BrittaS: Disable iMessage and then do the Twitter test.

Yes and no. Generally the carrier profile gets updated automatically on the iPhone. If you go to Settings > General > About, a popup will appear to update the carrier profile if there's a new one. While at the About screen you should be able to see the carrier and profile version. Theoretically, you should have the latest profile if you've changed SIM cards. There was a site in New Zealand that would let you "sideload" carrier profiles for many carriers, don't know if it is still around.

You may want to check your APN settings and see that they match what AT&T recommends. My iPhone use is admittedly very minimal but you should be able to find it by going to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Cellular Network; if not "Cellular" then try "Mobile Data". The AT&T iOS APN settings are at https://www.att.com/esupport/article...less/KM1218310

IIRC there was a way at the carrier itself to reset the device on the network. TBH, not positive it worked on AT&T, but I know it worked on other carriers.

@Pomgup : I understand you were just answering my question, all good
Same result without iMessage, no answer from twitter.

@Hornos : I didn’t get a pop up when going to “About”, but Carrier Version is at&t 31. Reading on google that 11/2017 it was 30.1, 31 sounds like the up to date one.
I can’t see the APN settings, I guess that’s an at&t restriction (according to apple’s support site).
