Post Why Is My iPhone 7 Home Button Unresponsive?

Why is my iPhone 7 Home button unresponsive? Is there any way to fix it or is it available to have it replace a new one? Can an be purchased from the market?

The iPhone 7 and newer models do not have a mechanical push switch. It uses haptic feedback to simulate a button press by vibrating. There are three settings for the Home Button in Settings>General>Home Button. If you have Touch ID turned on, wet or oily fingers do not work well.

"Bad news for the DIY-inclined: looks like the home button in an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus can’t be replaced with a different one. If you break the button or rip the cable, you’ll have to go to the folks at the Genius Bar for a repair—or be stuck with a completely non-functioning home button." I just read this on ifixit.org
