    Next auction is for 600Mhz and I don’t think it’s until 2019, it’s seriously being delayed, the US did it earlier this year. I bet the Big 3 are blocking it somehow because it will make Shaw/Freedom unstoppable. Same with all the other 4th providers in their respective provinces.

    Probably true.
    However, it will greatly help the 4th carriers a as well.
    Freedom was rather hurt by band 66 being so late to be approved and rolled out to devices.
    Only now, a year later, is it ubiquitous in models on the market.
    By being 2 years later than the US on the 600MHz, all new phones should be ready to go as soon as they are able to light up the network.
