Voicemail but no missed calls

One thing that happens fairly frequently -- especially considering that I really don't get many phone calls -- is that I get a notification beep and find that I have a new voicemail, but the phone was with me all the time and didn't ring! Granted, my signal happens to be a bit weak when I'm at home, but this has happened a number of times. Sometimes I miss the notification sound and only find that someone called me quite a while afterwards.

There is no missed call notification, so I'm sure that the phone is not ringing. I have had times in crowded areas when I truly didn't hear the phone ring (or had it muted), and in those cases I see both a missed call and a voicemail.

Check in your blocked call list also. I have a spammer blocked and get ghost messages regularly.

Change your notification to repeat so you don't miss the message alert.

Long shot, but maybe the person is slydialing you.

True, it's very easy to accidentally block someone.

i get phone calls but voicemail takes a long time to come in...
