    winter damage to my androids

huawei p10 or lg g6 behaving strangely sometimes
huawei thinks something is plugged into the charging port

or thinks theres water damage when phones have no contacted water
(just really cold dry air) or charging in car.

has anyone saw any problem with their winter charging not just me.
was thinking of buying a LG G5 due to the removable battery but haven't
    dished out the 300cdn yet.

Did you charge it while the battery was at freezing temp or below? According to Battery University:

    http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/a...w_temperatures

"Many battery users are unaware that consumer-grade lithium-ion batteries cannot be charged below 0°C (32°F). Although the pack appears to be charging normally, plating of metallic lithium can occur on the anode during a sub-freezing charge. This is permanent and cannot be removed with cycling. Batteries with lithium plating are more vulnerable to failure if exposed to vibration or other stressful conditions. Advanced chargers (Cadex) prevent charging Li-ion below freezing."

Phones may behave erratically if operated while the internal temperature is close to or below freezing. An active phone probably generates enough heat to be ok. An idle phone in standby left to get very cold could malfunction.
