    Cheap vacation phone?

A friend wants a prepaid for 1-2 months. Doesn't need text or data, just voice. Not much voice, something like 150 minutes? I haven't found any deals at the usual places I look. Does anyone know of one for like $15 or less? If not, then $15-20? I mean for the phone itself and the 1-2 months of low use.

Get a lycamobile sim and load with $10. Should have 200 minutes, and good for at least 90 days.

    Here's one idea.

Beg friends to loan or give you for free an old Vzw flip phone. I'd guess there are hundreds of thousands of those in junk drawers!

    a) Put it on the PPC $10 Standard Plan (paygo). Hopefully two, $10 refills, 200 minutes, will suffice.
    OR
    b) Put it on the $10 Expo Mobile PayGo plan, which will provide 500 minutes.
    OR
    c) Put it on the Red Pocket $10/mo plan, which will provide 500 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB monthly.

Tello paygo might also be an option if you can get a compatible phone for free.

Find an unlocked ATT compatible phone you can borrow or something. Then get an H2O SIM (Amazon or eBay). $10 lasts 90 days and = 200 minutes.

Unless he already has a phone or someone gives him one, I don't think it's possible to get a phone AND service for $10-15 for two months. Cheap flip phones on ebay run $15 or more. If you want a decent flip phone in good condition, it's going to probably cost $30 or more. It also depends on what networks are in the area.

Sometimes you strike gold. I got an old Sprint Moto E2 on eBay for $12.50 + $6.00 s&h. It works great on Tello.
My smartphone is a lot smarter than I am.

Thanks. May not be possible, but one month is ok, or less minutes. He doesn't need text/data. Any network. Also up to $20 if needed.

I have sold some older phones on eBay for under $10, shipped, just to keep them out of the landfill.

You can find working phones there. Right now, most Windows phones are a drug on the market and Blackberries have been out of vogue for years. Look for one of them.

In fact, a few weeks ago , I bought an almost new Nokia Lumia 830 for $10, delivered to my mailbox. It's a fantastic phone.

    rs899,

Yea, you can find some deals on eBay for used phones. You just need patience and keep searching. I just picked up 9 Samsung Rugby 4 phones for $30. They supposedly all had issues. Seven of them work fine and I fixed one of the others.

Here's an example (if its still there when you read this) . A Sprint Blackberry for $10 shipped.
I had a similar Tmo version once and it is a great phone for the purpose you need it for.
Get that on Tello or TPO and there's your cheap phone.
