do the $40 prepaid Cricket refill cards sold at Best Buy store have expiration dates?

do the $40 prepaid Cricket refill cards sold at local Best Buy stores have expiration dates?

(as in once purchased, do they have to be redeemed on a Cricket account by a certain date?)

    Thanks!

I've bought cards at numerous online outlets, they've all the same, with nothing on the disclaimers mentioning expiration. I'd be more worried about losing / miss placing them.

Small print on cards states expires 1 year after purchase date, iirc.

Same with the refill cards ordered thru Cricket Rewards.
Rear terms of Best buy refill card:

Yeah, you're right, I missed that. But I wonder if cricket might just reissue another card, good for another year. I knew gift cards were regulated, and I can't imagine AT&T / cricket would want to get into a hassle over anything as minor as this.

In store purchase is probably ok, but if you purchase a Cricket refill online from Best Buy, it's best to at least check if it was properly activated.

Whenever I read threads where these are being traded around, it almost never fails that some were not activated properly. You probably don't want to wait too many months, or even weeks, and then learn the sale was not validated to the Cricket servers.

It's rare, probably considering all the sales but not at all uncommon to read about it happening.
