    Can you get plan back?

A friend was on the preferred family plan (pretty sure that's what he called it). He's had TMobile a long time and was happy with the price and plan. Turns out a store rep changed him to the newer one plans without him asking for it. TMobile is telling him there's no way to get it back since it's an older plan that is no longer offered.

I know it's probably a long shot but do you think he could get the plan back? If he doesn't get it back he's most likely going to switch to another carrier

He's going to talk to TMobile to see if any options are available. The part he dislikes the most is it's a bill increase and plan change he didn't ask for. He said he feels trampled on by tmobile.

I figured it would be a long shot with getting it back

I’m curious how the plan was changed without him knowing? Don’t you usually have to sign something in the store to change a plan? How much was the preferred plan and how many lines does he have?

Not sure how many lines but the change happened when he got new phones and now is more expensive plan wise

He's going to the T-Mobile store today to try one more time.

I'm still happy with T-Mobile but they seem very carrier like nowadays. Changing the plan when getting new phones isn't acceptable and even worse that T-Mobile won't correct it. I would ask twice and bail after that if they didn't fix it

Same thing happened to me, they claimed it was a store rep who changed my plan. It seems like T-mobile is trying to quietly migrate all legacy plans....

See post below, let me know how your friend makes out trying to change the plan back, as I’m still trying to do this.
