Telus tops Bell and Rogers in LTE speed, says OpenSignal report

    Here is the article.

Here is some positive outlook for 5g.

The firm found that while the three major carriers in Canada — Bell, Rogers and Telus — have all greatly increased their LTE service offerings, it is Telus that is now the lead operator when it comes to LTE speeds.

Because of the strong network improvements and performances, OpenSignal’s report concludes that Canada is well-prepared for when 5G connectivity is finally introduced

Not surprising and nothing new. In fact, Telus has also been showcasing their awards on their website for some time...

It definitely seems as though Telus has really been optimizing its core network. Speeds and pings are always very good. I'm curious what Bell is missing (just comparatively, Bell is still very fast). This isn't really related as Telus results are good Nationwide, but when I'm in Telus RAN areas I see far more sites with 4x2 mimo and 256 QAM than in Bell RAN areas. Gives me the impression Telus is more on the cutting edge overall

^^Does that include Telus RAN territory in eastern Canada?...i.e. Windsor, Ottawa, and parts of Quebec?
