Sad this is something Sprint users have to get excited about in 2018. Too bad right outside of Mobile Sprint LTE is piss poor :/.

Hopefully they deploy it nationwide soon. It's long overdue and should work good with their 800MHz LTE.
Carriers I've used: Sprint, T-Mobile, Cricket, AT&T, Verizon, Page Plus, Virgin Mobile, Movistar, AT&T Mexico, Telcel, Straight Talk, RingPlus.
Phones I've used: iPhone 6S, iPhone 5c, HTC One M9, Samsung Galaxy S3, LG G2, BlackBerry Storm, Nokia 820, Motorola Atrix HD, iPhone 4S, HTC One V, iPhone 4, Nokia Lumia 900, Nokia N9, Samsung Focus, Samsung Captivate, Nokia N900, HTC 8525, iPhone 3GS, iPhone, Nokia E61i, Siemens A56...

I would be fine with an opt-in like Verizon initially did.

When people ask me if Sprint is going to shut off 2G like Verizon, I tell them that Sprint needs to get VoLTE working first. But yesterday I had to add: "But I heard a rumor that they turned it on today."

Funny how their management team kept claiming "tower density" is the reason they haven't deployed VoLTE. As if magically they have more sites now. This should have been active 2 years ago as a disabled feature. Fact is, calling plus and VoLTE are necessary to transition away from Verizon's impending 2G shutdown.

LTE calling works on the west coast too, along with WiFi calling on the S8.
