Cricket and Google Captcha Issue - any fix?

    Hello,

I am currently on Cricket 5GB plan, using OnePlus 6, and I have fallen ill to this dumb "Google Captcha" issue. There is a good Cricket Wireless thread out there detailing it (I cannot post links yet otherwise I would).

Pretty much, the IP cricket gives me is red flagged by Google, which in turn, blocks me from using Google search. That means I am forced to switch to Bing search, and it is HORRIBLE.

I was wondering if any of you knew a workaround or fix to this otherwise I am just going to switch to ATT Prepaid?

    Thanks!

Interesting...I also experience this from time to time. It’s an absolutely terrible experience.

Bing is so bad that I must move on. It is an unusable search engine, complete trash.

I honestly have never heard about this this is strange, what I would say is you should switch to DuckDuckGo instead anyway.

Use a VPN and it will happen, but not as often.

"Capchas" are very bad practice; they make things harder for regular users and near impossible for those with disabilities.
"There is never a need to bash people with disabilities, or racial groups, or ethnic groups, or engage in any other sort of bigoted attacks in Howard Forums. Refrain from doing so not just to keep moderators happy, but in order to be a decent human being."

Totally agree, switch now and you won't regret it.

Exactly! "Bing" is a decidedly inferior choice. I used to use it only due to Microsoft rewards, and stopped when they adjusted the rewards program.

Another vote for DDG. Google is an acceptable backup when DDG doesn't give you what you want.

Not the OP, but based on everyone’s suggestions, I tried making DDG my default search and it’s been great. Thanks for the advice!
