    News update...Wing Alpha now offers service using AT&T at the same prices as with Sprint. International roaming included with data at $13 a Gbyte. I chatted with a CSR who is sending me a AT&T sim to replace my Sprint based service.

    That's great that Wing now offers AT&T. Have you confirmed this? I can't seem to find anything about that on their website, and if I check an IMEI of an AT&T compatible phone at https://www.wingalpha.com/device-compatibility , it initially looks like it's checking, but no result is shown.

    International roaming is NOT "included" with Wing. For example, in Canada, calls cost $0.04/min (not too bad) and texts cost $0.20 (seems expensive) and in Germany, calls cost $0.06/min (not too bad) and texts cost $0.20 (seems expensive). Like you said, data is $13/MB (not too bad). So, even though it is not "included", it is great to have a paid option for occasional/light international usage!

    I just talked to them.
    They don't seem to be much into the "CONFIRM" :
    too many "maybe", "should be able to",...

    me: can I connect 2 laptops at the same time using hotspot ?
    W: yeah you should be able to
    me: "should" is not good enough. I need a guarantee that it's allowed
    W: yes you can

    me: I need ATT network - Sprint is no good where we are and travel

    W: We use both sprint and at&t towers

    me: I DO NOT WANT SPRINT

    W: We can look into putting you on the at&t side of our network!

    me: As long as it is not a "maybe", or I'll keep my current plan with ATT

    W: I can connect you to my sales team to see if we can!

    me: I'll keep my current plan with ATT
    Bye

    I'll have to live a while longer for 8 GB / $40 a month on ATT prepaid.

    I don't like surprises

    Not correct. I have recently switched to Wing and opted for the AT&T card based on your post. Turns out the AT&T card doesn't not come with the $13/gb international roaming fees. Instead you will have to get a $10 a day international pass for roaming.

    It was too good to be true I guess...

    Hi. Do you offer service on both the Sprint and AT&T networks?

    Wing typically replies in a few minutes.

    Operator profile
    Are you a Wing customer?
    No, I'm not a customer yet
    A few more details will help get you to the right person:
    1. Name Boz
    2. Phone 555-555-1212
    3. Current Phone Carrier AT&T

    Thanks! The team typically replies in a few minutes

    Lobna
    Hey! Yes we do! Can I have a sales agent text you so they can check coverage and get your questions answered?

    Me
    No.

    Me
    Are there any differences between what you offer on the Sprint and AT&T networks?

    Lobna
    We offer dynamic pricing on 2GB-5GB plans, Which means that you get credit back for unused data

    Me
    Please don't answer with a reply that doesn't answer my question. Are there any differences between what you offer on the Sprint and AT&T networks?

    Lobna
    The service is the same, the pricing is different.

    Me
    Is that reflected on your website?

    Lobna
    I can have an agent reach out to you. They'll be able to address all your questions and concerns.

    Me
    This is NOT the way to get new customers! When a business avoids potential new customer question or answers them in an evasive way, it drives the potential customer away!

    Me
    How about this: Is international roaming $13/GB in 135+ countries on the AT&T network?

    Lobna
    No. Its $10/day

    Me
    Okay. I don't know if you're one of the owners, but please update your website! Thanks.

    How does the unlimited plan work?
    Our unlimited plan includes unlimited talk and text and is perfect for any user that uses more than 7GB of data per month. Users who exceed 22GB/mo will experience reduced speeds until the next cycle starts. The reduced speed is at 2G levels.

    I leave cellular data off most of the time and still get charged the full amount.

    Things have changed since these posts - that was & is, for SPRINT only:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Wing Alpha
    What if I hit my data limit?
    Wing CDMA (Sprint Network):
    ... etc .... 2G speeds until the cycle ends.
    Wing GSM (AT&T Network):
    .... you are only able to use the data allotted in your plan.
    Once you have reached your limit, you can add data by paying for a higher data plan. If you choose not to, data will be restored when a new billing cycle begins and is paid for.
    I was told yesterday it was $13/gb on att. I hate it when you can't get a straight or a correct answer. Why do they make it so hard to find info on the att side anyway???
    I had a chat with Wing CS rep and was told that it is $10/day just like with AT&T. So no great international rate. I was also told that the domestic service was the same as AT&T postpaid and included the ability to activate an eSim but a lot cheaper than AT&T.
    I had the most irritating text message conversation with Wing. They insisted because my phone is 9 months old it was automatically a locked phone. I explained I never buy locked phones, my phone was purchased directly from Apple, and it was not sold locked, and I have never locked it. After they insisted Straight Talk has "sneakily" (their word, not mine) locked my phone, I deleted the conversation and moved on. I've never been a Straight Talk customer, and never mentioned anything to do with Straight Talk.
    I'm on Airvoice and having MMS issues, so I read some reviews of this Wing outfit & thought I'd give them a try. My experience so far (still texting) has been very similar. I got the first reply at 3:46 PM and it's now after 5:30. So far all I've been able to do is give them the phone model & where I got it along with "How much data do you need" for them to figure out I want the $20 plan.
    We have the technology. We can make it better. This text and wait-wait-wait sucks. Why not just signup on the website like people have been able to do for what 20 years? If Airvoice can fix my MMS reception problem I'll just stick with them.
