New Unlimited Plans 3/1/18, no Hotspot lines allowed

That's what they are saying on reddit.

Existing UDP+ can keep their hotspot lines but no new hotspots can be added after 3/6/18.

Get to an AT&T corporate store or authorized retailer and open some lines on UDP+. You could probably do it through Best Buy too.

How about adding lines to our existing plans?

Current hotspots on Unlimited Plus plan, do they get throttled after 22GB or 10GB?

Currently they just get deprioritized after 22GB, they never get throttled.

Looks like it may be $10/month cheaper than my existing plan (1 phone, 1 tablet). $80 for phone instead of $90 after autopay. The extra tethering isn't really an issue for me, since I currently get 20GB between my tablet and the phone.

Whether I want to take the risk of going into my account and making changes, likely lose autopay discount for at least a month.
iPhone X on ATT Prepaid. Backup iPhone 7+ on inexpensive Verizon MVNO plan. Hopefully covers me in the continental US for phone usage. Cheaper than a single unlimited plan on ATT or Verizon or T-Mobile.

Yeah I meant deprioritized. Ok so if I switch to that plan now, I can have all lines on Unlimited Plus plan? How many lines do I must have on phone to have remaining as hotspot lines?

You can have 1-10 lines on UDP+ and all or none can be hotspots. You don't have to have any phone lines if you don't want them.

Existing UDP+ hotspots can stay but you only have until 3/6/18 to add a new hotspot line.

Im a little confused. So is the choice plan cheaper? And does it now have full speed with hotspot feature? The details don’t seem too clear
