I get between 40-100mbps on 3x non mimo, non 256qam most of the day. I have a 400/20 spectrum cable that test out at 480/24 for $75 for now, $95 later this year. Might as well save up to $70 a month.

That's where I'm at too. I read that AT&T is going to have a 5G "puck" available in late 2018 so I'm wondering if it's a good idea to wait for that.

True, the hotspot I have now doesn't give me a problem. I'd rather save the $200 for the Nighthawk on the newer 5G hotspot

After streaming DTVNow from my ipad yesterday from my nighthawk, I'm seeing "sponsored data" usage today.

So thats cool, it won't draw from my full-speed 22gb bucket.

I don’t know what area your in. But in my experience over many parts of the country the 22gb does not mean a thing so I would not worry too much about it.

NYC Market, northern NJ really. My speeds at home are nothing to be proud of on average (6-10Mbps maybe if I'm lucky) so top speed won't be an issue.

Not sure how the congestion is around here, I never paid attention to it.

Decided to go ahead and get an unlimited data line on my account for future use. If for some reason its not compatible with 5G, I'll just drop it.

No, but there are network management things they can do that are not OS/ROM specific. But this is where I keep my mouth shut unless/until someone/some-company pays my consulting fee

We don't know about 5G NR, but it's already compatible with 5G Evolution, and that's at least Gigabit LTE. Even if they do something odd with 5G NR, I'm keeping mine.

That said, I still think most 5G NR plans will be unlimited - albeit, billed based on speed ratings.

Retention’s added a Nighthawk to my unlimited plus plan yesterday and get this, waived the cost of the device and gave me a $10/line credit. It’s worth $10/month to me regardless if I use it a lot or not.

Did you just threaten to cancel the one line? Also did it put the line on a two year contract?
